Infused With God's Goodness

A few days ago discouragement colored every moment. I took it with me as I met with a group of dear friends and I walked back into my house with it weighing heavy on my shoulders.

As usual I analyzed it so I could get to the source and deal with it. Then I prayed. I asked God to fill me again with His joy. His peace. A sense of wonder and contentment.

He didn't answer right away, but He did answer. It was as if He flicked a switch. I went from dragging my feet deep in the doldrums to seeing everything in a new light.

Everything seemed infused with His Goodness! Everything!!! Even the news.

The Bible has taught me that God is in control. Nothing takes Him by surprise. Kingdoms come and Kingdoms go. God uses them all for His purposes.

He has created every living thing and continues to breathe life into all His Creation.

HE IS AT WORK!

Rejoice! Give thanks!

Discouragement is of the enemy. Don't let it win.

His GOODNESS does indeed exist all around us, under us, over us and in us.
